MASSA/GRAF (nl) - The/Deholyfied - CD

Maurice de Jong, the mastermind behind projects like Gnaw Their Tongues and Cloak of Altering, introduces you to the brutal realm of industrialized black metal. The/Deholyfied showcases a nuclear-ravaged landscape with malevolent riffs, violent drum programming, and static-laden vocals. This album dwells within the human experience, confronting the horrors of war and an apocalyptic vision.

MASSA/GRAF (Dutch for mass grave) celebrates the raw and gritty sound of nineties industrial and experimental black metal, a sound that is almost unheard of today. M. de Jong, known for his groundbreaking work in bands like Gnaw Their Tongues and Cloak of Altering, began experimenting with samples and industrial sounds mixed with black metal in the nineties. The tracks for MASSA/GRAF started to take shape after a collaborative project M. de Jong was involved in fell through. He decided to turn the material into the album “The/Deholyfied.”

MASSA/GRAF delves into the atrocities of war and a longing for the end of mankind, creating a haunting and intense auditory experience. Fans of Aborym, Mysticum, Dodheimsgard, and Thorns will find a lot to appreciate in this unique blend of ferocity and precision.
