"SANGRE JOVEN" was the second studio album by the Madrid-based heavy metal band Sobredosis, released on October 6, 1985, through Chapa Discos, the most important heavy metal label in the Iberian Peninsula at the time.
The album was produced by Fortu Sánchez, vocalist of Obús, together with Francisco Laguna, resulting in a top-tier production that stands proudly alongside the great classics of Iberian heavy metal from that era.
"Sangre Joven" Line-Up:
- Santiago “Santi” Alonso – Vocals
- Manuel Manrique – Guitar
- José de Benito – Guitar
- Salvador “Salva” Aldana – Bass
- Luis García – Drums
This album is considered a classic of Spanish metal from the 1980s, not only because of its powerful and faster sound compared to the band's debut album, but also due to its versatility and clear hard rock influences. It captures the band at the peak of its musical maturity, with lyrics reflecting the realities of youth in that era, driven by a passion for rock ’n’ roll.
Now, in 2026, to celebrate the band's reunion in Madrid on April 17, we have remastered the album at Khazad-dûm Studios in Cantabria, achieving a truly powerful new version of Sangre Joven. This release stands as a well-deserved legacy of pure, uncompromising Iberian heavy metal for new generations of fans.
The vinyl edition will be officially released on the day of the event (April 17) and is strictly limited to 300 copies. The pressing is available in two variants: 150 copies on classic solid black vinyl and 150 copies on marbled yellow vinyl.
In addition, a limited run of 300 compact discs has been manufactured, each including a 12-page booklet
