INTO COFFIN (ger) - Into a Pyramid of Doom - CD + Slipcase
Channeling a darkness deeper than that perversion borne in all men and exclusive to him--that is his fascination with death--Germany’s Into Coffin bear the colossal weight of a death-doom wrought not of flesh and perishable things, but of earth and stone. The follow up to last year’s nebular demo, Into Coffin’s debut full length, at five tracks and fifty-five minutes, is a bewildering journey through the hallucinatory penumbrae of those staggering monuments raised by an elder race whose mocking laughter yet trembles the earth. Between Paul Chain’s monomaniacal genius and Necros Christos’ pedantic exaltation stands this German trio known as Into Coffin.
