"Stormbringer" is the first EP by German Black/Thrash Metal veterans DESASTER from Koblenz. Originally released in 1997, one year after their debut album A Touch of Medieval Darkness, the EP features five original tracks plus a blistering KREATOR cover version, delivering 21 minutes of pure old-school aggression.
Musically, Stormbringer is a masterclass in deeply blackened Teutonic Thrash Metal. The early works of SODOM and KREATOR are the most obvious influences, while the unmistakable spirit of VENOM and CELTIC FROST looms large throughout. Raw, filthy Thrash riffs, harsh and venomous vocals, and a thunderous rhythm section combine to create a timeless sound that perfectly captures the essence of the genre. More than two decades later, DESASTER continue to deliver this uncompromising style with the same unwavering conviction and intensity.
