CORROSIVE ELEMENTS (fr) - Cut The Serpent's Head - CD DIGIPACK

Description

The new album is a selection of ten hard-hitting tracks, designed for a more direct and dynamic approach. “Cut the Serpents Head” was written collectively by the band in the rehearsal room, an old-fashioned method that makes the music more immediate. With broad influences ranging from Thrash legends such as Slayer, (old) Sepultura and Exodus, to Death Metal in the tradition of Entombed, Obituary, Carcass, Bolt Thrower and Napalm Death, and an addition of primitive energy derived from Hardcore Punk, the band is now ready to place this new offering on the altar of Extreme Metal. Conceptually, “Cut the Serpents Head” is a cynical look at the fate of humanity, its race towards meaninglessness and the loss of its moral values. A warning against the hegemony of organized religion, crooked politics, decaying societies and the rise of social injustice. “Cut the Serpents Head” was recorded by the band in a DIY spirit and mixed at Heldscalla Studio by Raphaël Henry (Mercyless, Skelethal, Ritualization, Venefixion,) and mastered by Benoit Roux at Drudenhaus Studio (Trepalium, Seth, Alcest...), a fruitful collaboration that has produced a solid sonic identity. The artwork, meanwhile, was created by Anaïs Chareyre-Méjan, based on a concept devised by the band. Particular attention was paid to the creation of the image, using an AI-free ethic.

Release date: November 29, 2024, through a collaboration between GreyveStorm productions, Crypt of Dr. Gore and Chien Noir Production.
